About Atorcom
Atorcom is a company in Karstula, Finland, that has done industrial data acquisition and reporting since 2019. Its product is DataPortia™ — on-premises software that collects process data over OPC UA and produces reports from it. The same person answers the sales enquiry, does the commissioning and wrote the software.
Short answer
Atorcom is Antti Haaraniemi's company in Karstula, founded in 2019, Business ID 3010969-9. It develops and supplies DataPortia, software for industrial data acquisition and reporting. Its customers are Finnish energy companies. The reseller is PCS-Engineering Oy.

Who is behind Atorcom?
Antti Haaraniemi, who has over ten years of experience with automation systems: PCS 7, WinCC, TIA Portal and OPC UA. A sales question is answered by the same person who does the commissioning and wrote the software.
A question therefore does not circulate around an organisation and the answer does not change on the way. For deliveries Atorcom works closely with PCS-Engineering Oy, who are equally able to deliver and commission DataPortia.
Why does DataPortia exist?
DataPortia exists because no reporting tool for automation systems combined a fair price with reliability and ease of use. Reports were therefore either built into the automation system itself, where every change required automation work and tied the plant to its supplier, or assembled by hand in Excel, where the calculation varied with whoever did it. DataPortia was written to replace both.
In more detail: what was decided in the product and why
The software runs on the customer's own server. That is not a technical accident but a choice: process data is a trade secret and often critical to security of supply, and no one wants it in an outside cloud service. The same applies to the AI analysis, which runs a local language model and does not send questions out.
The interface to automation is deliberately read-only. DataPortia reads from the OPC UA server and writes nothing to it, so the attack surface of the reporting system stays small: in the worst case data is lost, not control rights.

Where is DataPortia in use?
At Finnish energy companies. The references so far are from the energy sector, and I say that plainly rather than present experience from places where there is none. If you want to hear how it has worked at a comparable plant before you decide, ask — I will pass on the contact if the customer agrees.
Which languages does Atorcom work in?
Sales and support are handled in Finnish and English. The DataPortia user interface is available in four languages: Finnish, English, Swedish and German. The language is chosen per user, and the choice affects neither the licence nor the price.
Frequently asked questions
Below are the questions purchasing departments ask most often about the company: reliability of delivery, continuity of the software, invoicing and who you deal with. If a supplier assessment needs more information, send the list of questions — I will answer it in writing.
How is invoicing handled?
The invoice is sent as an e-invoice or by email, whichever your purchasing practice requires. The Business ID is 3010969-9 and the VAT number FI30109699. Prices exclude VAT, and value added tax is added to the invoice at the rate in force. If the purchase is made through the reseller, invoicing goes through PCS-Engineering Oy.
How is reliability of delivery ensured?
By stating the schedule in advance and keeping to what has been promised. The resources of PCS-Engineering Oy are available for deliveries and commissioning as well, so a project does not depend on a single calendar. If a schedule does not fit, I say so before the contract, not halfway through the project. If the purchase requires a contractual response time, it is written into the quotation, where it is binding — I do not promise terms on this page that I cannot keep up to date.
What happens to the software if the company stops trading?
It is a fair question for a system with a long life cycle, and it is answered in the contract, not on a marketing page. In practice a perpetual licence is a one-off payment that leaves the right of use in place, and the software runs on the customer's own server with no dependency on a cloud service — so it does not stop working if an outside service shuts down. If the purchase requires arrangements that go further than this, raise them at the quotation stage.
Who do I deal with during commissioning?
The same person throughout. Antti Haaraniemi answers the enquiry, writes the quotation, carries out the installation and answers support questions. If the purchase is made through the reseller, the commercial side is handled with PCS-Engineering Oy, but the technical work is the same.
How do I get in touch?
By email to sales@atorcom.fi or by phone on +358 45 882 1525. Tell me which automation system the plant has and what should come out of it — on that basis the suitability and the licence tier can already be assessed. The trial runs for 30 days, with every feature except the HA add-on, and no commitment.
